THE INSPIRATION WE FOUND IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS WAS PERFECT FOR THIS COLLABORATION
POLSPOTTEN asked us to bring our vision to their collection and design a series of home décor items. The inspiration we found in the Scottish Highlands was perfect for this collaboration. POLSPOTTEN is known for its unusual home décor items and vases in particular. This is why we have chosen to focus on this product category and create our designs inspired by nature.
POLSPOTTEN COLLAB
As well as being inspired by the architecture or objects around us, inspiration can also come from nature. When we were in Scotland with our studio, we were particularly drawn to the Highlands. The beautiful unspoilt and rugged nature with natural colours, rough rocks and shimmering lochs. We combined these aspects to create our designs for the Structure series.
IT ALL STARTED WITH THE STRUCTURES WE FOUND IN THE ROCKS AND BOULDERS WE CAPTURED ON OUR TRAVELS
The products resulting from this collaboration are two ceramic vases and a bowl, each handcrafted using an amazing artisanal process that honors the traditions of global craftsmanship. It all started with the structures we found in the rocks and boulders we captured on our travels. We have transformed these natural forms into shapes that rise from the surface.

These 3D structure makes it look like a sculpture, which is why we think of these design pieces as more than just a useful product – Vases doesn't always need flowers to shine, do they?
In these designs pieces, we aimed to strike a balance between the rough and the smooth, resulting in an intriguing contrast. The high-gloss glazes we've created reflect the shimmering waters of the Scottish lochs, adding a soft, inviting finish to the robust designs.
For this collab, we wanted to create a contrast in the collection of POLSPOTTEN. By combining the sculptural and imperfect look of our designs with their colourful and funky items, we've created a quirky image full of contrast that matches the playful effect that POLSPOTTEN is known for.
